Base Commissions

1. What is a Power Line, and how does it work? Can it be optimised?

A Power Line is a downline leg in your organisation that generates the most volume under an Income Position in a given commission week (commission weeks run from Saturday to Friday).

Yes, a Power Line can be optimised. Optimisation occurs when the volume in the Power Line reaches 13,334 PV in a given commission week.

2. What are Pay Lines, and how are commissions calculated from them?

Pay Lines are the income-generating legs in your organisation. They include all lines under an Income Position excluding your Power Line (the line with the highest volume for that commission week).

Commissions are calculated and earned weekly based on the volume accumulated in these Pay Lines, which comes from your team’s personal purchases and customer sales. Base Commissions, for example, are 15% of the total volume of your Pay Lines. The more Pay Lines you have and the more volume you generate in them, the higher your potential commissions.

Once Base Commissions are paid out, volume is removed from your lines. The difference between your Power Line Volume and the total Pay Line Volume is carried over to the next commission week, as long as the balance is not negative.

3. What happens to the volume that exceeds 13,334 PV in a line?

Any volume that exceeds 13,334 PV in a single line is not counted toward additional base commissions in that line for the current commission week (commission weeks run from Saturday to Friday). The cap ensures that volume is spread across multiple lines, encouraging balanced growth in your organisation. Remember also that there is no limit to the number of lines you can build! Check your local compensation plan to learn more about how to keep building your organisation.

4. Can volume be rebalanced or auto-balanced between lines?

Volume cannot be rebalanced across Pay Lines.

“Auto-balance” refers instead to a feature that allows the PV from personal orders and personal customer sales (excluding new customers who are still in their first 4 weeks) to be added to your Pay Lines volume from which you earn base commissions: every week, said volume is auto-balanced between your lines to maximise your commission payout. If you are in your qualification week, only the volume exceeding the PV needed for your qualification will be auto-balanced

5. How does auto-balancing work for Base Commissions?

Base Commissions are 15% of the total Pay Line Volume of a given commission week. This volume comes from your team’s personal purchases and customer sales. However, the auto-balance feature allows the PV from personal orders and personal customer sales (excluding new customers who are still in their first 4 weeks) to be added to your Pay Lines volume: every week, said volume is auto-balanced between your lines to maximise your commission payout. If you are in your qualification week, only the volume exceeding the PV needed for your qualification will be auto-balanced.

The higher your Business Level, the more Pay Lines you have available for auto-balanced volume to be placed across.

6. How do Base Commissions change across markets? Are there any limits on how much I can earn?

Base Commissions are 15% of the total Pay Line Volume of a given commission week (commission weeks run from Saturday to Friday) for all markets. For the most accurate information about all the aspects of the compensation plan for your market, always check your local Compensation Plan document found in the Back Office.

There are typically limits on how much you can earn in Base Commissions from a single Pay Line (e.g., capped at 13,334 PV). However, there may not be an overall limit to your total earnings if you have multiple optimised Pay Lines and re-entries. Always consult your local Compensation Plan for the exact details on commission structures in your market.
